Boat Parade:
We are asking fleet captains and other boat parade participants to confirm their planned attendance with Laura Jerominski no later than Friday, June 18th. You may email the form to
There will be a skippers meeting on the grounds at 2:15PM
Parade Line-up will be at 2:45PM near the Coast Guard Station
Food:
Food will be available on the grounds the day of the event. Please note, the kitchen will be closed on Saturday after 2PM. Chef Jay and his team will be serving a picnic buffet outside from 4:30-7PM including:
Hot dogs, bratwurst, 1/3lb burgers and 6oz chicken breast on a brioche bun with available lettuce, tomato, onions, sauerkraut, raw diced onion and American cheese. Sides include: pasta salad, chips, and corn on the cob
Entertainment:
Live Music and dancing will start at 6PM headlined by DoubleCrossMKE under the tent.
Social Activities
The restaurant is open every Friday for dinner.
The Entertainment Committee hosts various parties, including:
- Jazz Night
- Mardi Gras
- Kentucky Derby
- Review of the Fleet
- Corn Roast
- Oktoberfest
- New Year's Eve
and many other, less formal, events throughout the year.
Sailing and Racing
If you are interested in sailing, and more specifically racing, there are ample opportunities to join one of our racing fleets, or to crew on one of the boats in those fleets. The women's fleet races on Mondays, small boats race on Tuesdays. Big boats race on Wednesdays and Saturdays. And the double handed fleet races on Fridays.

Powerboating
Our power boaters are active fishermen. An annual fishing contest is held in July.
In addition, our power boaters host a number of events, usually on Thursdays as well as many weekends.

Juniors
SSYC offers sailing lessons and a year-round program for children ages 8 - 18. We offer a six-week series of lessons in Opti's, 420's and Lasers. Our juniors attend a number of regattas throughout the summer, and host one of thelargest regattas on Lake Michigan, the Kaszube Cup.
