Welcome to the South Shore Auxiliary |
The South Shore Yacht Club (then, Ladies) Auxiliary was organized in 1915 by the wives, mothers and sisters of the members of the yacht club (who then were only men). Twelve social events during that first year provided funds to completely furnish the kitchen and dining room of the Lily E, SSYC's first floating clubhouse. Today, the SSYC Auxiliary has a lot of fun continuing to raise funds to support club needs -- for renovations and improvements, for the needs of the SSYC Juniors and for charitable needs in our community.
MEETING TIMES AND SCHEDULE:
The SSYC Auxiliary has 10 meetings per year. We meet the first Tuesday of each month, excluding January and July. These meetings may include speakers, dinners and socializing. SSYC Auxiliary provides for Auxiliary members to be involved in activities with direct benefit to the club and community at large.
All regular auxiliary meetings begin at 7:00pm. Dinner meetings require an RSVP in advance with the SSYC office, and begin at 6:00pm. The next couple of event dates and times are listed to the right.
