Slips Committee Update

Slips are still closed; please do not go out on them. The committee is continuing to install dock box brackets. All slip tenants will be required to have them by year's end. Even if you do not have a dock box or do not plan on getting one your slip is still getting dock box brackets installed. The person who gets your slip after you may need them.

The only way to reasonably and efficiently install the brackets is to do them all at the same time and in order. As I have mentioned previously, starting with the 2015 boating season, nothing can be mounted on the main walkway. This includes any center line holders, hose reels etc. Our lease with the county states we have to keep improving our slips and grounds; this is our part of the agreement.

All electrical cords from the pedestal to your boats must be a UL listed marine type. It is code. This will be strictly enforced. We will also be testing for stray current at all of the slips; all of these initiatives are dictated by our insurance. If you have brackets mounted on your center piling and they are not yours or you do not use them, please leave a note in the office, the slip committee will remove them so you will not have to at the next fall slip closing.

If you do use them make sure they are in serviceable condition and can be removed at slip closing. If you have other ideas or suggestion for improvements or changes to the slips and docks, please attend the next slip committee meeting and your suggestions will be considered and discussed.

Slip tenants, the slip renewal form you received in the mail contained incorrect information. The slip renewal form that was e-mailed to you is correct with the updated information.
