Kedziora Jerry 2014As some of you may know our Club’s insurance renews on May 1 every year.

This year after reviewing three bids by three different brokers the insurance committee decided to renew the Club’s insurance with the Club’s previous year’s insurance broker;  Ansay and Associates who represent and provide us with Hanover Insurance. Ansay gave us a very competitive bid giving the Club the best overall insurance value.

In the previous year Ansay has provided professional and timely service which the committee also considered as well.

In addition due to having no reportable accidents in the past year, we recently received a return on the Club’s Worker’s Comp. insurance of $1,414.00 which further reduces the cost of the Club’s insurance.

I would like to congratulate Pat Nora and his staff on having an accident free year.

Ansay has also confirmed that the Club will be receiving a reduction on our premiums this year because our Club has been certified as a Clean Marina. As soon as the Club receives the Certificate, it will be forwarded to our broker; Ansay.

I also need to mention that there are several members who have expired insurance certificates.

Please check with your records and if you have not yet sent your current certificate please have your agent do so as soon as possible to avoid a loss of slip, docking and racing privileges. Please make sure that your certificate also includes: South Shore Yacht Club as additional insured.

I would like to thank the members of the insurance committee for all of their hard work and finding the best overall insurance value for our Club.
