Boat work has started and it’s time for the annual reminder to BE CAREFULL, tie off your ladder and when working on your slip don’t go alone if possible but in all cases wear a life jacket. The lake water is in the 30s and hypothermia will set in in minutes. The Club has also purchased a vacuum sander that meets the requirements for achieving our Clean Marina goal. It’s available for any members use, check with the office for access.
This is also a good time to clean up around the Club grounds, there’s a lot of litter that has accumulated during the winter. Let’s keep the grounds ‘ship-shape’ and while I’m at it, have you seen the front lawn littered with cigarette butts? Would you smokers have this behavior at your home?
One more reminder, shrink wrap should be disposed of in the dumpster outside the fence on the North end of the Club grounds. Shrink wrap only please.
