I know it’s hard to believe but we’ll going to be launching boats starting May 3, 2014, approx. 73 days from now! The time to start getting “it” together is today. List of jobs – parts needed, paint/varnish, and last but not least CREW needed (start treating them nice now). Consider inviting them to the club for adult beverages.
The north aisle area will be cleared on the first day (May 3, fourteen boats). The South aisle area second day (May 4, eleven boats). During the first week a round of boats need to be cleared. A suggested launch list will be posted in the derrick house bulletin board. I will attempt to contact everyone possible to suggest launches. If nothing else, give me a call or an e-mail with questions starting NOW.
No spars will be stepped the first two days of launch. After that “spar night” will be on Thursdays nights starting at 4pm or if you can arrange with fellow sail boat owners for three boat launches and then three spar sets together this helps the derrick operators’ work load.
The last launch date is May 22 at 4pm.
