Louie's Last Regatta
September 22, 2018
Louie's Last Regatta is an open-to-all, year-end, fun-oriented annual sailing regatta on Lake Michigan in which all proceeds benefit Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Founded in 1999 by a group of Milwaukee sailors, Louie's Last Regatta has grown into one of the nation's largest fundraising regattas.
The Regatta is a single race, starting at around noon (specifics in the race documents) followed by a party at Milwaukee’s Ale house.
The race is scored using PHRF time-on-distance handicaps. However, if your boat does not have a formal PHRF handicap, an approximate handicap will be assigned by the race organizers.
Here's a link to the official documents for the race (i.e. the Notice of Race).
Please register for the race at this link if you want to participate.
