Artka George 2014As I write this article I have decided that I have had enough of winter. So, as Jerry Rakowski would say at the general membership meetings, we only have 96 days before our first boat launch.

During the past month many of us have enjoyed the many events offered at our club. We had a fantastic New Year's Eve party. The sell out crowd danced into the early morning hours. Our club has had some great bands to dance to or just listen to. We also have been offering some fantastic food specials. Tom Gale and the entertainment committee have made this long winter a little shorter by organizing all of these events.

The annual slip change and pick was held on January 18th. At the end of the day our club still ended up having 9 slips available to members. If anyone is interested in one of the slips, please contact Pat Nora our General Manager.

We are continuing to move forward in updating the Club System Network. This transition will be taking place over the next few months. With the new update and training for our staff, we should see a great improvement in our overall operations of the club.

Remember to please tell your friends about South Shore Yacht Club. We are always looking for new members who would like to enjoy all the events that our club has to offer.

You can learn more about the various racing fleets by clicking here.  And the racing schedule (for all fleets) is available here.

Powerboating

PowerboatOur power boaters are active fishermen.  An annual fishing contest is held in July.

In addition, our power boaters host a number of events, usually on Thursdays as well as many weekends.
