Another slip change day has come and gone. I would like to thank the members for their cooperation in making this slip change go as smoothly as it did. There were 19 open slips and 25 members on the change list. Nine members elected to move to a different slip. Nineteen members on the waiting list for slips and 10 of them elected to take a slip. Currently that leaves nine slips available for new tenants making club membership more attractive.
As I mentioned in last month's article all of the open slips will be getting dock box brackets and members that changed slips or members that got new slips will be billed the $100.00 bracket fee. I have received a number of e-mails and requests for dock box brackets to be installed in spring. If you would like to be added to the list, please send an e-mail to me. Do not forget standard fiber glass dock boxes (2’x4’ or 2'x6') will soon the norm, and steel boxes will be forbidden.
There will be a revised contract for the 2015 season and the due date to return them to the office will be one week early than in the past years. This is to allow the office more time to organize the available slips and the people on the various lists. Also there will be stricter enforcement of those due dates. Late paper work causes delays and makes additional work for the office staff. Remember you must also be a member in good standing. If you have any questions or problems concerning your slip, please e-mail me instead of the office staff, you will get a quicker resolution to your inquiry.
Last year we had a number of electrical issues, on the docks. Please be sure you electrical cords are in proper working order and your boats electrical systems are functioning properly.
Thank you to the Slip Committee volunteers who make all this possible. Upcoming work parties are being planned, so stay tuned.
Thanks to all the slips tenants for their cooperation.
