schoos rick 2014At the December General Membership meeting we discussed the importance of supporting South Shore Yacht Club by maintaining our memberships in “Good Standing.”  One of the criteria used to determine good standing is payment of our SSYC dues and other indebtedness when they are due.

Clarification of respective due dates are:

First installment of the 2014 Dues - January 1, 2014

     Slip license fee - February 21, 2014

House charges - Within the 15 days of the statement date.

Maintaining a “Good Standing” status is also a SSYC Slip License requirement.  Slip change is January 18, 2014.  Prior to exchange of slip, we will be reviewing member balances and evaluating members Accounts Receivable Aging and determining slip license eligibility. Slips of current slip license holders not in “Good Standing” will be opened to the membership at the Slip Change meeting.  If you have a question about your account status, contact the office.  It is incumbent upon the members to maintain their current Account Receivable balance.    If you are not current and want to protect your slip privileges, please bring your account current by January 10, 2014 to allow time to post payments and compare the Accounts Receivable with the slip license holders.

You can learn more about the various racing fleets by clicking here.  And the racing schedule (for all fleets) is available here.

Powerboating

PowerboatOur power boaters are active fishermen.  An annual fishing contest is held in July.

In addition, our power boaters host a number of events, usually on Thursdays as well as many weekends.
