Here are a few helpful hints:
Saving your pennies? Maybe it’s time to cash them in for a little extra holiday spending money. Request a gift card and there’s no fee at a Coinstar kiosk. Check out vendor locations at coinstar.com
Speaking of holidays, check out http://asubtlerevelry.com/category/wrapping for some of the coolest ideas in holiday wrapping.
Working with power tools and jigs? To prevent slippage, use that rubbery mesh material used for kitchen cabinets. Slip it between your work bench and the jig and tighten the clamp. Voila.
From Vice Commodore Ken Dzuibek (Summertime). These are great, Ken! Thanks.
Watching your weight? You might want to steer clear of a Cinnabon strawberry banana Chillatta. With 520 calories in 16 oz, it packs a whopping 101 grams of sugar. Yikes!
One more from VC Kenny! Awesome:
Wow. Consumer Reports says beware of auto-dealer sales tricks like listening devices in customer waiting areas and “bushing.” That’s where they take your car away and you’re stuck at the dealership, waiting and waiting. Trying to wear you down, they’re hoping you’ll just buy a new car.
And finally, does the grey blah of winter effect you? You might try removing your window screens. No, really. You’ll let in tons more light. Two other benefits: you can make any necessary screen repairs, and when spring comes, your windows will be ready to wash.
As always, keep your hints coming.
