Sounds of a Yacht Club
Have you ever closed your eyes and listened to the sounds around you. Do you hear the clattering of the diesel John Deere tractor pulling a boat to it winter storage position? Do you hear the sound of the derrick motor and cables pulling a boat out of the water? Do you hear the sound of the pressure washers engine staccato while the bottom is cleaned of its season build up? Do you hear the sound of cooperation while crews roll dollies and carts to prepare their skids and trailers? Do you hear the sounds of coffee being poured and donuts served to the members of the crews of the various boats? Do you hear the sounds of chatter from the many volunteers at the work party gathering? Do you sense the accomplishment and pride that the members attain while working together at the many projects? Do you sense the intent listening of members at the committee meetings? Do you sense the state of the mental activity that is present while members work together to solve committee problems and agendas?
These are the sounds, thoughts and feelings that are generated when members serve members at South Shore Yacht Club-Your yacht club. Talk to your family, crew and friends and ask them if they would want to be part of these events and activities.
