Hot. Hot. Hot.  Summertime and the living is easy.
We are having a terrific time enjoying the club and the water.
The 2013 Queen’s Cup is behind us.  This is our one big fund raiser.   Thank you to all who helped  sell merchandise and serve food at the Queen’s Cup Party.  Not all the numbers are in yet, but by our August meeting we will have a full report.  At that time we will be presenting and voting on our club donation.  Over the years we have donated money towards various projects for the good of the club.  Come to the August meeting and see what we have in store this year.  We have limited sizes and quantities left in the women’s T-shirts.  We will be selling these at the Corn Roast, August 10th   for $10.00. You have not missed out on Queen’s Cup gear.  There is still time.
Our next meeting is Tuesday August 6th at 7 PM.   We will have Craig Lake as our guest speaker.  He will be giving us boating safety tips.  Even though we all feel like we know all there is to know about safety on the water, you can never hear this information too often.  If you enjoy being a member of the Auxiliary, bring a guest and share the good times.  We go where we are welcome and stay where we have fun.

Looking ahead –
Sept. 3 – Dave Wehnes will be sharing his Grand Canyon Adventure
Oct. 1 – Shipmates Night – bring your significant other, we will have a light supper, followed by “An Elvis Impersonator
Nov. 5 – Elections and Installation of officers
Dec. 3 – Holiday Party – come enjoy some Christmas Karaoke

Looking forward to seeing you on August 6th.  Come early and enjoy visiting with your friends.  We have snacks and beverages available before, during and after the meeting.  Come for the meeting, stay for the fun!

SailboatsIf you are interested in sailing, and more specifically racing, there are ample opportunities to join one of our racing fleets, or to crew on one of the boats in those fleets.  The women's fleet races on Mondays, small boats race on Tuesdays.  Big boats race on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  And the double handed fleet races on Fridays.

You can learn more about the various racing fleets by clicking here.  And the racing schedule (for all fleets) is available here.

PowerboatOur power boaters are active fishermen.  An annual fishing contest is held in July.

In addition, our power boaters host a number of events, usually on Thursdays as well as many weekends.
