Here are a few helpful hints:

Summer is the time to travel, but should you fly or drive? Check out http://www.befrugal.com/ and use the calculator to figure out which is more cost effective. Pretty cool.

Another great tip from Joan Sass:

Didja know? June is a great time to buy dishware like plates and glasses. Watch for sales.

When sending a get well card to someone in the hospital, be sure to put their home address as the return address. It won’t get lost that way.

Are you a member of the “I hate to iron club?” Well here’s an amazing product that many say will help you avoid ironing altogether. It’s called Downy Wrinkle Releaser. Check out the reviews online. Hooray!

Painting over silicone can be tough. For better results, apply a layer of sanding sealer over the silicone caulk, then paint. There are a couple different brands available like Minwax and Zinsser so you might want to visit your local hardware store.

Have you seen the ads for the Pocket Hose? It’s supposed to be the new gotta-have-it gadget. Watch the video at https://www.pockethose.com/. It really GROWS when you turn on the water faucet. It’s super light and compact. Think cruising. There are several sizes available from 25 ft. to 100 ft. Wow!

Summer is grass-stain season. Try spraying kids’ clothes with a bit of Scotchgard. It’ll sure make it easier to get the green out. Be sure to reapply after each wash.

Not near a TV but need a traffic report? The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s traffic site at http://www.jsonline.com/news/traffic/?src=www.mjstraffic.com&src=www.mjstraffic.com will get you going with ease. It’s updated every two minutes. Keep it bookmarked on your smartphone.

As always, keep your hints coming.
