BergRussHope the spring winds are keeping your boats free from damage.

May 23rd began our Thursday night events with the Chili Fest and Flare Shoot.  Chef Sam cooked both beef and chicken chili; both which were excellent.  Thanks to the Dorners, Happels, and McElwee’s with their aprons and spoons for hosting this chilly Chili Fest.  The cold and windy weather did not scare off the hardy to shoot off their expired flares and joined Craig Lake and Keith Ponath for lessons on how to use safety equipment.

The next Thursday event is the Spaghetti Dinner to be held on the 13th of June.  If you need information on this function, see the hosts, George and Jan Artka, Pete and Bonnie Merryfield, and Bruce and Carolyn Nason, who know the scoop.

We are asking members of the “Red Apron Grill Team” to assist with the pig roast at the Review of the Fleet on June 8th.  If you can help, give me a call.

The SSYC/LMYA Open House is around the corner.  Volunteers are needed to help with ice cream bucket sales, the auction, and other portions of this fund raiser.  Please contact George Graubner if you have an interest.  The event runs July 5th, 6th, and 7th.

If you have an interest in running an event or assisting our volunteers, please let me know.  New ideas and improvements on our events are always welcome.

Power Boater swimming lessons will be held on Tuesdays.  Contact Russ.
