BY BARBARA R. DRAKE, FLEET CAPTAIN

THE SSS-SSS Fleet meeting was held on Wednesday, April 17.  The Notice of Race was pass├ęd out to those in attendance.  It will be mailed to all the participants from the 2012 season.  If you are thinking of joining the fleet, a copy can be picked up from the Club Office.  The Sailing Instructions will be available in the office and online after May 15.

The fees remain the same for the coming year.  We want to thank the race committee for suppling the flags.

We will be sailing during the Queen's Cup week.  Also, if you want to sail the first race (May 29), you must have your entry materials in by May 22 in order to qualify.

The Lady Skipper Race will be run on August 18.  This is a race steeped in tradition and I would like to see a strong turnout for this race, especially since we are celebrating our 100th Anniversary.  Come on ladies, get your act together and participate.  It is part of the history of women at South Shore and we need to honor the fact that we are able to sail and participate.
