It is terrific to see our snowbirds returning to Wisconsin. It would have been really nice if they had brought Spring with them.

Our annual Auxiliary Life Member and Past Presidents dinner is coming up on Tuesday May 7th. We start the evening at 6 PM with a short meeting at which time we recognize our Past Presidents and Life Members, followed by a terrific dinner prepared by Chef Sam (it has to be good if Sam is in the kitchen). Dinner will be followed by our evening’s entertainment – Carolyn Wehner, a professional pianist/vocalist. A big thank you to Kay Putney for organizing our evening and to Karen Dickinson for getting our entertainment. Reservations are required, so if you have not already signed up, please call the club for reservations. There will be a $12.00 charge for the dinner.

Christine Martin our Historian will have our Auxiliary scrapbooks available for you to take a walk down memory lane.

Remember to bring toiletries and household cleaning items to our May meeting. Marilyn Bruesewitz continues to coordinate this project for us. We donate these items to Daystar and Joy House. Daystar provides a long term, safe haven where abused women are empowered to embrace life. Joy House offers safety to women and children.

Come hear about our June picnic – Tuesday June 4th. It may be called a picnic but we hold it indoors. Our weather is still too unpredictable in June. We always unveil the new Queen’s Cup merchandise at this meeting. Be the first to show off the new gear. A special thank you to the Ways and Means committee for all their hard work getting the clothing together –– Jan Marie Weiler, Sheila Depies and Lynn Engel. As always we need your help selling Queen’s cup clothing. Come and sign up to sell.

Join Us – become an Auxiliary member. Come share the good times and enjoy the satisfaction of assisting the Club and the Juniors. We are proud of the contributions we make to the community as well. We hope to see you soon.

Auxiliary trivia – July 26, 1915 the SSYC Ladies Auxiliary was organized. Dues were fifty cents. The Auxiliary has always been involved in service both for the club and the greater community. We absolutely help make this the “Harbor of Hospitality”.
